Sornchai Phongsa (b.1991, Kanchanaburi)
As I am a Thai artist of Mon ethnicity, I am particularly interested in the diversity of culture and the adaptation of human and their belief. I have a strong background in interdisciplinary art and research. I have shifted my artistic practice to focus on fine arts after studying at ENSBA(Paris), In my creative explorations, I usually incorporate a the cross-production process, especially painting and installation, in order to investigate and represent the relationships between humans, history, memory, and politics in Thailand—particularly in relation to the theme of migration.
