MONTOPIA

Statement

MONTOPIA represents the comparison of the refugee crisis in Europe with the Mon people who lost the country today, which is the original ethnicity of the artist. His family moved to Thailand because of  Myanmar political crisis in 1977.
1991 he was born in Thailand and he became a stateless child without citizenship. His childhood was not treated equally with other children, a strong motivation to find the true meaning of human rights through his art.

The creative process of Montopia is based on assumptions about traveling to find out what is a measure of human rights under the boundary line, the law, religion, the ethnicity. Corresponding to the situation in which France gives assistance to immigrants in the refugee camp, the context of place is the space for experimentation, creativity and shows the results through installation performance and video.
